Valdez Is Home to Many
Whales
Prince William Sound is home to resident ocras that occasionally make their way up Port Valdez to be spotted from town.
As early as April, humpback whales begin to appear in Prince William Sound and Port Valdez. Humpbacks have be spotted breaching right off the Kelsey Dock in town.
Minke whales are also found in Prince William Sound.
